Oh Junking . . . How Do I Love Thee?

Oh junking . . . how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. One of my most favorite kitchen tools came from a garage sale. It is a vintage Fire-King 4 cup measuring pitcher. I LOVE that thing! It is perfect for just about any small hand mixing job. Like making muffins. Or garlic cheddar biscuits. Or scrambling eggs.

Well. . . what would be more perfect? What about an 8 cup Fire-King measuring pitcher! Yes! $4.88 at America's Thrift Store. Just sitting on the shelf Wednesday evening. Waiting for me.

It is now sitting in my kitchen and I couldn't be happier!

Now on to a little booth news - I rearranged my Cotton City booth and did a little vignette featuring this gorgeous Irish prayer needlepoint:

I'm hoping someone loves it as much as I did!

Until next time,

Happy Junking!

Abba Temple Yard Sale 2012

On February 4th I participated in the first Abba Temple yardsale of 2012. I would rate it a success. I tried a new strategy at the end of the sale. My strategy was , during the last 30 minutes of the sale, to sell items for 1.00 each. I cleared out a good bit of stuff that I had hauled around for too long!.
