Ebay Sales

It has been a ghost town in my eBay business!  No sales in 5 days.
Here are a couple of sales from the past week or so:

Vintage Astrodome Souvenir Tray Set:
Purchased .59 cents at my favorite thrift
Sold for $22.00

Ralph Lauren Brooke twin sheet
Purchase:  honestly can't remember ( i think around 2.99)
Sold:  $22.00

If you ever see Ralph Lauren floral sheets you should pick them up.  They always bring a nice return!

*just a note- buyer pays shipping.  I don't offer free shiping.

Now i just need to hear a cha-ching!
5 days with no sales is just too long!

Until next time,
Happy Junking!

Booth Day

Today we headed to the booth for a much needed overhaul.  Here is the Junque mobile loaded and ready to go:

When I bring new items for some reason I have to pull out most of what is already in the booth! #aggravatedwithmyself.

Cute nautical vignette:

Can you spy some things for Parrotheads:

I loved how this turned out!  The green and aqua items on the aqua shelf:

The coolest ice bucket ever:

Some of this stuff is TIRED and needs to GO!

Cute USA canisters that I believe to be McCoy and Corningware Blue Cornflower items:

Ice cream anyone?

Red transferware that apparently I can't give away:

Cute casserole:

LOVE this cubby for smalls.  It is actually a shoe cubby but it holds a ton of smalls!!!!! Purchased for $5 at a yard sale earlier this year.

Cute gnomes, may be dwarfs but i only have 5 of them so I'm calling them gnomes!

Disney:

The mall is having a weekend sale so i am hoping to get rid of lots of items!

Hardee's Cinnamon Raisin Biscuit Update

As i lamented in my last post, Hardee's has discontinued their beloved Cinnamon Raisin Biscuit, a breakfast staple for many of us.

By way of update:

I emailed Hardee's and got the following generic, form email response:

Dear Ms. _____________:

Thank you very much for taking the time to inform us of the experience you had at our Hardee's restaurant.

At Hardee's, we strive not only to provide a delicious meal with great guest service, but we also make every effort to create a safe, clean, and friendly dining experience. I assure you that every effort is being made to address this situation. I have contacted the appropriate management regarding your experience at this particular restaurant and have requested that appropriate management follow up with you.

I appreciate the time you have taken to express your concerns. It gives us the chance to learn where we need improvement. It also allows us to resolve any problems that may arise from time to time. Guests like you, who make us aware of these problems, are our most valued guests.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call (877) 799-7827.

Sincerely,
Nancy

They did not address the Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits, the very reason I emailed in the first place!  The email was signed by a human-sounding name but I'm not sure a human read my email at all!  Very disappointed in the hardee's response.

I don't know about your neck of the woods but around here breakfast is about the only thing Hardee's has going for them.  If you drive by the restaurant  at lunch or dinner times it is a ghost town!  Bottom line:  the biscuits are gone and Hardee's would not even take the time to personally respond to a loyal customer.

I will note that I have tried the new Cinnamon Pull Aparts, which are touted to be the  "delicious replacement" for the Cinnamon Raisin Biscuit and. . . they are pretty tasty!  Will they be a long term replacement?  Who knows!

Hardee's Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits Have Been Discontinued

Excuse my Southern dialect here but..... Hardee's...say it ain't so!

I pulled up at my favorite Hardee's and placed my usual order, one plain bacon biscuit, one Cinnamon Raisin biscuit and a large half and half tea.  That's half sweet, half unsweet.  I have done this for years.  This is MY breakfast.  I know the exact total of my order.  To.The.Penny.

The voice from the speaker responded ...I'm sorry but the Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits have been discontinued.

Crickets.

Me:   Excuse me?

Voice:  The Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits have been discontinued.

Me:  Um, OK.

Many memories flooded through my mind.  My Maw Maw loved Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits, God rest her soul.  These same biscuits helped me through my recent pregnancy.  I have even introduced these biscuits to my now toddling baby!  And now they are no more.  Hardee's Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits have been discontinued.

I have emailed Hardee's in order to confirm my fear.  I will keep you updated.

Please Hardee's.... Reconsider!  Bring back the Cinnamon Raisin Biscuit!

Thank you Simply Filipina for the image!

Baby J's First Christmas

In Mobile today we are up to our elbows in ice!  This is the worst winter storm I can remember.
Our temperatures today will barely get above freezing so we will be stuck with the ice for a little longer.
So, we are hunkered down in the junque bunker with sweet baby J.
She turns 10 months old this week!  Where did the time go?
She is growing up way too fast for her Mama.
Here she is on the first Saturday in December wearing a Mud Pie bib that was a gift from her Aunt Paula.

These pictures are some I snapped one Sunday morning.  I used these on our Christmas card.

We had a little ornament chewing going on -- but not too much.

Baby Jessica discovering her presents on her first Christmas.  She got a Fisher Price Baby Grand Piano, a Fisher Price talking purse, several books, some clothes and a few other small gifts.  And that's just from Santa (wink).  Christmas was so much fun!

To all my thrifty friends - did you notice the 1980's Pack and Play in the picture?
5 dollars at a church sale.  Oh yeah!  Daddy gave it a good washing on a good, sunny day and it is as good as new.
Here she is on Christmas eve at Paw Paw and Maw Maw's house.

Well, I'd better run.  We are about to get dressed and play in the ice.  Hey!  I know it's not snow but we'll have to take what we can get.

Until next time,
Happy Junking!
