Cinco de Mayo

I changed things around at the booth. I added some Mexican/Spanish themed items to my baker's rack.

I added some more stuff too...
Dreamsicle O'rama. Does anybody collect these anymore? I sure hope so.

A picture of the Crosley radio:

Religious items.... some have sold...some items recently added...

My redneck stuff:

Vintage sewing stuff including cute apple pin cushion with a retractable worm measuring tape:

Strawberry stuff moved to a new locale:

Aqua shelf:

Notice my magnifying glass by the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden books?

The cutest vintage macrame-ish purse. This purse will hold about a teaspoon full of stuff otherwise i would be carrying it myself.

Cute Aigner loafers.

A bench that I found this weekend. It had an ugly peach fabric on the bench. I got hubby to help me recover it. When he pulled off the other fabric this gorgeous velvet fabric was underneath:

So--we decided to leave the velvet fabric and not re-cover it. Winning!

After all our hard work we went to our favorite seafood restaurant, The Original Oyster House. The view from our table:

Gumbo:

Crab claws:

They have cute decor. A hammerhead shark above the elevator:

And finally, look at this picture! It makes me smile everytime I think about it. It is a boatload of nuns on a high speed airboat. It looks like they are having the time of their lives!

Sorry to be so photo intensive--but it helps me keep up with what I have in the booth and where i have it.

Until next time,
Jackie

You've got a real knack for attractive displays and vignettes, Jackie. I always feel like my space just looks thrown together when I get done with it. I can't believe anyone would cover that fab velvet bench. I'm signing up for a space at a church sale to unload some of my excess stock. Hope it goes as well for me as it did for you at the Abba Temple!
